Not necessarily beat death but prolong it... According to the article I posted on the blog 'Elixir of Life' they have already had success on mice (yes they were in a bacteria free environment). They still have a start and I think much progress could be made within a decade's time

The only way one could prolong life right now is by diet and excise.

Remember, we have fundamentalists who want to send us back to the dark ages.

Remember, we have fundamentalists who want to send us back to the dark ages. True, but they are way out-numbered by the growing society of tech savvy and selfish people lol..

Why blow all the damn money and go into space? Spend it on your country first. Same with the army. Protect your homeland, then go and get blown up in the Middle East. >_>
Space is pretty cool though. Its amazing what it looks like. However, Id rather have both feet firmly on ground.

I bet as the years go on and people ever become raised in the environment it would feel more natural. Yes, help your country first then bomb elsewhere ... but sometimes we have to go there to help us ... if the terrorists or whatever would get too strong we could have devastating issues (new thread material )

Because it is dangerous to keep all of our eggs in one basket.

You know, I am very surprise that Dubai doesn't have a space program. You would think that they would seeing as they spend all of this money on constructing new attractions for tourists, that they would make affordable space travel. My bet is on them for when they decide to add space tourism to the list.

I doubt not in the near future but possibly one day ... I'd go there to try it out though if no one else had it

Dubai is probably going to beat us to affordable space tourism, even if it's a sub-orbital flight. US lost this round of the space race.

Well, the US still has the Moon and like every civilization in history. The country that found a new frontier usually is it's holder.

It would be nice if all the countries would work a little bit better together to achieve such goals

I wish I was the president so I could help the space program get us to the Moon to establish a colony base which would open up new research opportunities to go to Mars.
