Dear Somebody!!
I'm trying to get the hang of the tech. needed to write simple pieces of music on a computer. Right now I don't know what I'm talking about - remember that when you read the next paragraph and be gentle with the 'techieness' of the answers!
I've got a good string soundfont - Florestan Strings. I'm using the saFfron Soundfont Player (yes, they DO have the capital F in the wrong place!) Every time I do a chord with it, it just gets louder. AND LOUDER. AND LOUDER. the whole time the chord's going on. I know the envelope controls are ADSR (which are Attack, Decay, Sustain and Reverb, right? If I'm not right, say!) but I've tried every combination of sliding them up and down I can think of and I can't make the note sound steady. If they're all down, it sounds truncated when it stops. But it STILL gets louder over the duration of the chord.
Please, is this an inbuilt thing in the soundfont or is there some way of turning the swelling effect off so I can have a steady chord that doesn't get louder all the time?
If it's some internal settings that need to be changed in the soundfont player, or if I need to use a different soundfont player, please say which one I need.
Yours respectfully, Unleashed
