"An oil trading firm has agreed to pay more than $46m (£28m) compensation to people in Ivory Coast who say they were made ill by dumped waste in 2006. ..."
I heard about this via their podcast and now in print. Apparent the company has already put millions and millions into cleaning up the area but still their were troubles. One guy said he had stomach pains, fevers, vomiting, and smaller other cases from this waste.
Isn't it already bad enough we are ruining the atmosphere now we have to go and continue to defile the surface? They've gotta think of a new method to make their products and limit waste
